Rosanna Gallo

Madame Chantilly hails from Italy and has been drafting cross-stitch designs since 2009 after having two children. She expressed her creativity by drawing between changing nappies. Her name, “Madame Chantilly,” is inspired by the delicious cream puffs filled with whipped cream and vanilla crème which her children love so much. Her cross-stitch designs are delicate, witty and often contain a story for the embroiderer or beholder, but are open to interpretation, of course. The designer wants to make embroidery fun and relaxing, so her designs only call for a few colours of thread for stress-free embroidering. Her favourite motifs include Christmas, animals and fairy tales, but she also uses everything surrounding her as a source of inspiration.
