EMOTIONS
Margarete Grandjot
Since I caught the “stitching bug” on a museum visit 30 years ago, I have been fascinated by embroidery needles, fabric and thread. I opened my own embroidery atelier 20 years ago and like to pass on the wealth and diverse array of embroidery styles and techniques in my courses. Embroidery is also cultural history, and I like to combine new and old to maintain it and push it forward. It fascinates me to create new things on the basis of old embroidery techniques: My passion is to incorporate famous and less well-known stitches into modern design and thus bring them to the modern era.
