I have always lived in a house with sewing work everywhere. My mother was always in the middle of some kind of sewing, trying out diff erent techniques. She taught me to embroider using cross-stitch when I was very young. I would oft en embroider as a child and then as a teenager. When my mother started to publish her designs I helped her and this gave me own embroidery ideas. It was a natural progression for me to create my own designs: this was the origin of Miss Kat’s designs.
